October 2nd - December 4th, 2025 (Online)

Welcome to this advanced professional development training for graduates of the Highly Sensitive Person Coaching Course, Professional Psychologists, Therapists and Coaches.

It's recommended that you complete the Professional Certificate in Coaching HSP before completing this training. However, if you are already a professional coach, therapist or psychologist (with at least 150 hours of training), you may enrol in the course. You will also need to have a good understanding of the Highly Sensitive Person to be accepted into the training.

Who is the Course for?

This advanced course is designed for coaches, therapists, and psychologists who work with Highly Sensitive People and wish to adopt a trauma-informed approach. The aim is to deepen your understanding of trauma and how it intersects with being an HSP, so you can create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for your clients. By recognising the unique struggles and strengths of HSPs, this training equips you to facilitate healing and growth in a way that respects and works with clients’ natural sensitivities.

The course begins by exploring foundational concepts in trauma, including its definitions, types, and manifestations. You will learn what it means to be trauma-informed, understanding that as coaches, our role is not to treat or fix trauma but to recognise and respect its presence. We’ll discuss how being trauma-informed and aware allows us to avoid unintentionally triggering clients, discern our professional boundaries, and know when to refer clients to other professionals (if necessary). We will also cover the nuances of working with HSPs who may be more prone to experiencing symptoms of trauma due to their heightened nervous system sensitivity.

By the end of the course you will know how to...

  • Understand the intersection between Trauma and High Sensitivity

  • Work Safely with the Nervous System of HSP, informed by Polyvagal Theory

  • Create a Strong & Safe Coaching Container for HSP

  • Integrate Somatic Practices for Self-Regulation & Co-Regulation in Coaching Sessions

  • Work with more Extreme Parts and Protectors in HSP

  • Hold Space for Strong Emotions

  • Explore Post-Traumatic Growth in the Context of Coaching

  • Boundaries, Discernment and when to Refer Clients on

What you'll get at the end of the course:

  • Professional Certificate

Certification showing 40 hours of professional development and a certificate showing ‘Trauma-Informed Coaching for HSP: Advanced Professional Certificate'.

  • Badge showing Professional Development

A badge that you can use on your website, social media posts and other business materials highlighting your CPD hours and that you are trained in a trauma-informed approach

  • Practical Tools & Resources

The course will offer you practical tools and resources that you can use and implement straight away into your coaching and professional work

Live Workshops

Thursdays 7-9pm (GMT) October 2nd - December 4th, 2025

  • What is Trauma? How does it relate to being a Highly Sensitive Person (October 2nd)

What is Trauma? We explore how trauma can stem from various life events—physical, emotional, relational, or environmental—and how it differs for each individual. Types of Trauma: We will cover acute, chronic, and complex trauma to clarify their impacts. Trauma and Highly Sensitive People: We will examine the overlap and distinctions between HSP traits and trauma symptoms.

  • Working Safely with the Nervous System and Polyvagal Theory (October 16th)

An introduction to Polyvagal Theory: Understanding the nervous system’s role in stress and trauma responses is essential for supporting HSP clients. Practices for Expanding the Window of Tolerance: You’ll learn techniques to help clients gradually process emotions and increase their resilience.

  • Creating a Strong and Safe Container for Coaching HSP (October 23rd)

As a coach, your presence can be a powerful grounding force for clients. We’ll discuss what it means to hold space in a way that supports regulation and healing. Supporting Co-Regulation and Attunement: Co-regulation is particularly important for HSPs, who are often highly sensitive to relational dynamics. You’ll gain insights on how to foster a calming and attuned energetic field in your sessions to gain safety and trust.

  • Integrating Somatic Practices for Co-Regulation (November 6th)

What is Somatic Work? Somatic work engages the body, and it is essential to be informed of how to work somatically when working with trauma and highly sensitive people. Self-Regulation Techniques and Self-Compassion: You’ll learn specific practices that support self-compassion, helping clients build resilience and regulate emotions that can feel overwhelming for those who have experienced trauma and are also highly sensitive.

  • Working with Extreme Parts and Protectors (November 20th)

Understanding Parts and Their Roles in Trauma: This section covers the role of “parts” that may develop to protect the self from trauma’s impact. Holding Space for Protective Parts and Strong Emotions: Practical techniques for recognising and holding space for protective parts that may emerge in sessions. We will also learn how to hold space for the strong emotions that parts can be carrying.

  • Exploring Post Traumatic Growth & Spiritual Emergence in HSP (December 4th)

The Potential for Growth After Trauma: Trauma, when held within a safe, compassionate container, can be a catalyst for profound growth and transformation. This module covers theories of post-traumatic growth and how to support clients on this journey.

This course will help you cultivate a holistic, integrative and trauma-informed coaching practice that honours the unique experiences of HSP clients. Whether you are new to trauma-informed approaches or seeking to deepen your expertise, this training offers a comprehensive foundation in safely and ethically supporting highly sensitive clients on their healing journey.

Testimonials

“After working many years as a yoga and meditation instructor along with being a clinical health coach, I began focusing specifically on working with highly sensitive people who experience anxiety. I was excited when I saw the professional training for coaching highly sensitive people, because I was already interested in holistic and integrative approaches to our health and wellbeing. This course offered me the opportunity to connect and build professional relationships with other HSP coaches, while honing my coaching skills using a transpersonal approach. It has provided me with a very practical tool box full of introspective practices I can share with my HSP clients as well as increasing my confidence in coaching. This is a great course for anyone interested in contemplative practices and learning more about the many different aspects of yourself as an individual as well as helping other HSPs do the same! ”

So thank you Jules for all this great content, this is even better than I expected and is good for me to work on myself”

“Before I discovered Highly Sensitive Humans and Jules' work I often felt alone in my experience. I knew I wanted to help other people similar to me - but I had no idea where to start! Since going through the content I've learned what tools I can use for all the different struggles that HSP face. Maggie Kelly - The Unstoppable HSP

“Jules is a wonderful teacher and has been supportive and available throughout. Before I joined the course I had no clear direction but now am firmly on the path to using my own innate gifts to be a coach with a focus around HS children. As someone who’s only recently learned that I’m highly sensitive and high sensation seeker (again a whole new revelation to me) having chance to connect with other people who also experience the world in this unique way has been amazing and extremely validating and will hopefully be ongoing. ”
