Professional Coaching Bodies & Accreditation

The Highly Sensitive Human Academy is a recognised Coaching and Training Organisational Member of the International Association of Coaches, Therapists and Mentors (IACTM) as well as the Association of Coaching (AC). The Highly Sensitive Person Coach training is also an accredited training course approved by IACTM. Both IACTM and the Association of Coaching require the academy to adhere to a professional code of ethics. Taking the course also offers a number of coaching hours, which can contribute towards applying for coach accreditation through IACTM and offers a 12-month Associate Membership through the Association for Coaching.

Why choose the Highly Sensitive Human Academy?

The Highly Sensitive Human Academy offers courses and professional trainings for individuals and organizations across the globe.

The gifts of sensitivity – such as high levels of empathy, compassion as well as the ability to listen, and intuit the feelings of others, often lay hidden or dormant in Highly Sensitive People. There is usually an assumption that sensitivity is a weakness or a flaw, and those of us who are highly sensitive can internalise the message that there's 'something wrong with us' from a young age.

The HSH Academy offers professional training courses to educate and inform leaders, educators, coaches, parents, teachers, managers and other professionals on what it means to be a Highly Sensitive Person. It's crucial we reframe our understanding of sensitivity and provide resources to empower the 20% of the population who are HSP.

Research on vantage sensitivity shows us that HSP are more likely to thrive and excel in nourishing and positive environments – when offered the space in which to flourish, HSP are incredibly innovative, creative, and able to see the big picture; driven by high morals and values. Unfortunately, if the traits of high sensitivity are not understood, then we're in danger of neglecting the tremendous amount of potential that exists within HSP.

Dr Genevieve von Lob is a clinical psychologist and parenting coach based in London. After 15 years working in Britain's National Health Service, private practice in Harley Street and inside big corporations, she published her book "Happy Parent, Happy Child: A 10-step plan for a stress-free family life" with Penguin. She also authored a parenting book "Five Deep Breaths: The Power of Mindful Parenting."

Genevieve now works as an independent psychologist providing one-on-one sessions to adults and young people. Genevieve specialises in working with Highly Sensitive People (HSP) and parents with Highly Sensitive Children (HSC). Genevieve hosts a thriving community called the HSP Revolution which offers events, workshops, a members-only newsletter, weekly inspiration, tips and challenges and access to a community hub for connection and discussions. Her work is inspired in part by the pioneering research of Dr Elaine Aron, who brought the term HSP into widespread use.

William Allen

William Allen, author of Confessions of a Sensitive Man and On Being a Sensitive Man, leads the course with insights drawn from his extensive work as an advocate for HSP men. He is a certified hypnotist and brain training coach , author and advocate for HSP Men. He believes that male sensitivity is not so rare, but it can be confounding for most males living in a culture of masculine insensitivity which teaches boys and men to disconnect from their feelings and emotions. As a highly sensitive individual himself, William combines personal experience, professional expertise, and engaging storytelling to create a transformative learning experience.

Meet Simone Da Costa who provides teaching and administrative support on the HSP Coaching Course. Simone is a certified HSP Coach, Integrative Psychotherapist, Facilitator, Author and Yoga and Meditation teacher. She is the founder of her private practice in Integrative Psychotherapy where she offers one to one psychotherapy for adults. Her training is in Core Process Psychotherapy which is the integration of Buddhist psychology and theology with Western psychodynamics and psychotherapy. Simone’s integrative approach to therapy offers a mind-body, somatic approach to traditional talk therapy. She uses the tools and teachings of mindfulness in order to help clients to build a relationship with both their mind and body and thus, take back control of their mental, physical and emotional health. Over the past eleven years, Simone’s journey towards her own personal growth and development has introduced her to multiple, alternative modalities of healing including; yoga, mindfulness, meditation and spirituality. She uses her years of personal experience and professional study to create unique, group workshops, retreats and online programs. These cover a variety of topics like emotional intelligence, stress management, self-care, mediation, personal empowerment, goal setting, femininity, self-compassion, self-love and more.
